There are still five Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) films set to be released before “Avengers: Infinity War — Part 1,” but that’s not stopping one of its stars from sharing his thoughts on the two-part film.

In an interview with Digital Spy, star Josh Brolin admitted that he knows the plot of the movie, but he can’t reveal any spoilers.

“I literally can’t say one word about it, but it’s an incredible story. There’s no script yet. But I do know the story inside and out, and it’s an amazing story,” he said.

Brolin went on to say, “I sat at a table and listened to the story and was completely and utterly blown away. I was told it by all the people involved. It was a large table, I’ll put it that way.”

GameNGuide noted that the table Brolin was seated at included directors Anthony and Joe Russo, screenwriters Christopher Markus and Stephen McFeely, and producer Kevin Feige, all of whom worked on “Captain America: The Winter Soldier” and “Captain America: Civil War” together.

It is unclear if any other cast members took part in that meeting, although it’s likely considering Brolin said it was “a large table.”

The actor has made cameo appearances as villain Thanos in previous MCU films “Guardians of the Galaxy” and “Avengers: Age of Ultron.”

In the Marvel movies, Thanos has been collecting Infinity Stones, which will give him the power to rule over the universe.

“Infinity War” will see the Avengers, including Iron Man, Hulk, Thor and Captain America, along with other superheroes that have been introduced in the franchise, come together to try and stop Thanos as he finally collects all of the Stones.

In May, McFeely told Cinema Blend that Thanos will “do lots of dastardly things” in the film, but he’ll do more than just twist “his mustache the whole time,” according to Markus.

The screenwriters said the film will let fans “learn about the character, not just as a villain.”

It’s already been confirmed that “Infinity War” will feature 67 characters, most of whom we’ve seen in previous films.

As Joe Russo revealed back in January, “We have so many characters we’re dealing with. We’re breaking ground on ‘Avengers: Infinity War.” We have a board with 67 characters on it.”

That’s a lot of characters to include, but if “Captain America: Civil War,” which the Russo brothers directed, is any indication, then the directing duo is certainly up to the task.

“Avengers: Infinity War — Part 1” will be released on May 4, 2018, and “Avengers: Infinity War — Part 2” is set to hit theaters on May 3, 2019.
